Give a KISS this Christmas

It’s the most wonderful time of the year . . . hanging lights, holiday parties, decorating, dinner guests, wrapping presents, going here and going there.  Or, we can find that place of rest in His PRESENCE of PEACE.  Jesus is the PRINCE of PEACE.

I’m learning more and more the importance of KISS . . . Keep It Simple, Sister.  If you go all out and you find yourself exhausted and fretful, re-evaluate the why.  Do you feel you need to do all things with excellence but it turns into PERFECTIONISM?  What good is it to impress others if inside you’re depleted?  Our very gifts God has given us can turn into our weakness if we get out of balance and become perfectionists.

Remember the reason for the season and enjoy the gift of a child given to us . . . Emmanuel . . . God with us.  Isaiah 9:6 tells us that He is the WONDERFUL COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, ETERNAL FATHER, and PRINCE OF PEACE.

Merry Christmas to each of you near and far,                                                  Elizabeth

The Best Christmas Gift of All

This past month I had the privilege of speaking at our different Toast the King chapters about His gifts and His presence.

1 Corinthians 12, Romans 12, Ephesians 4 and 1 Peter 4 are four chapters commonly referred to when studying the gifts of the Spirit.  As I was getting prepared to speak, I read through those four chapters and I realized we are leaving out a few chapters that should not be left out when studying the gifts of the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12 speaks of the body being many members and the  distribution of the gifts to different members of the body of Christ in a variety of ways.  1 Corinthians 14 goes on and talks further about the gift of prophecy and speaking in tongues.

Squeezed in between these two great chapters about the different gifts is a whole chapter speaking on one thing . . . love.  Love is the most important of all the gifts!  God knew what He was doing when He gave way and dedicated a whole chapter on LOVE and how to love well.

If you’re not sure what your gifts are, take a look at yourself and see how well you love others.  It may very well be that one of your gifts is loving exceptionally well.

Be ready in and out of season and willing to operate in any of the gifts that might be needed at the moment when God asks.  You may be the only person around.  Don’t miss an opportunity to be the hands, feet, heart and voice of Jesus.

This Christmas give the best gift of all to everyone near and far . . . LOVE.

God’s Promises Are For You!

Instead of reciting your problems, recite God’s promises to yourself. The Word of God, the BIBLE, is the good news and is God’s promises and truths to speak over yourself. Do you want God to speak to you? He does, read your Bible.crown

The Measure of Maturity

One of the measures of maturity and leadership is staying neutral416091 and not forming an alliance with a friend or person who confides with you and shares an offense they have taken on. Taking up another’s offense is taking up unforgiveness, resentment and judgment toward another as a second party without hearing the other side of the story. There’s always two sides to a story. A victim mentality wants others to take up an alliance with their drama but that isn’t true friendship or maturity. Maturity says, “I’ll pray for you to quickly shake off the offense and move back into the call of your destiny. While you’re feeling the hurt, continue to serve others and it will get you over your offense quicker.” Maturity does not fan the flames with more inflammatory remarks. Maturity helps bring healing and glory to God. Let’s be part of healing the body of Christ and not licking wounds.

Through Faith, Let Your Dreams be Unearthed

Jesus’ power was not revealed in his teaching (though His teaching was powerful in truth) but was seen in His resurrection. His resurrection separated Him from all other false deities. Men who have come on the scene to be worshiped and who created a false religion are still in the grave; only Jesus has risen and is alive. We pray to a living God, not a wooden, man carved idol.

Jesus gave Himself to us by imparting the Holy Spirit to whomever asks. We have been given His resurrected power to move mountains with faith. I pray that the Lord will strengthen my faith and yours.

Let’s pray in faith that our past dreams to expand God’s kingdom here on earth will be resurrected. Let your dreams be unearthed. Let nothing stop God’s plan in you for your life destiny. Keep the faith and grow in miraculous faith.women+of+God

You Have Been Given Power and Authority from On High

Some of you woke up this morning on the right side of the bed with great expectations and hope for the day but some of you woke up with anxiety, fret, and gloom.

Anxiety, fret, gloom, fear and despair are not gifts from the Lord. The Lord’s desire for you is power, love and a sound mind.

“2 Timothy 1:7. “God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.”

Sometimes we can identify what is causing our fretting and other times the fog settles in and we don’t know why. Either way, it’s paramount to take your God given power and authority back and speak truth into the situation.

Declare over your mind that you are a child of God, you belong to Him and the enemy has no rightful claim over your thoughts. Because you’ve been bought with the precious blood of Jesus and belong to Him, the enemy is a squatter and needs to be kicked out. As a believer, YOU have been given the authority and power from Jesus to stand firm and say the words, “depart in the name of Jesus.” Jesus appeared to destroy the works of the enemy, 1 John 3:8.

Declare over your mind that you have a sound mind. Put on the armor of God over your mind . . . the helmet of salvation. The helmet of God protects your mind from the fiery darts of the enemy’s words of destruction, self doubt, fear, fret, and frustration. Sweep out accusations and toxic thoughts and replace the negative with truth.

The truth is found in the Word of God. Everything we need to live the abundant life is found in the Word.

Philippians 4:8, “Think on things that are true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think on these things.”

We are to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. This is spiritual warfare.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5, “Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war in the flesh. For our weapons of warfare are not of the flesh but are divinely powerful to destroy the works of the enemy. Destroying speculation (way out there thoughts, the worse case scenario) and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

If you are fretting this morning, read Psalm 37. If you awoke with worry, read I Peter 5:7-8. If fear has paralyzed you, read “Isaiah 41:10. If doubt has polarized you, read Romans 10:17. If depressions has caused you to walk in a fog today, read Psalm 34:18. If you are feeling lonely and abandoned, read Deuteronomy 31:8.

Memorize the Word of God for your offensive weapon in the battle of your mind. The enemy will find your weak thoughts and use them against you.

Ephesians 6:10-17, “Be strong in Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, powers, world forces of darkness, against the spiritual forces. Therefore, take up the armor of God so that you will be able to resist the enemy and having done everything to stand firm . . . (read on to find out more about the armor of God).

Today, I pray YOU break the chains that have you walking as the walking dead. God’s plans and destiny for your life is the abundant life God has set before you. Choose life not death (Deuteronomy 30:19). I’ll pray with you but YOU have been given the power and authority to speak truth over yourself.

Contact me if you need a friend to walk out the process of freedom. Living in a dark cave is not the abundant life of Jesus’ light and freedom. Take the keys to unlock the lock and walk out.

Don’t Let Your Dreams Shrivel

Has something in your life shriveled up and you are unable to reach out and grab hold of what the Lord has promised you?

A shriveled arm has no muscle or movement. To move an arm that is in a shriveled state would be painful and hard.

In the spiritual realm, we have dreams and promises that shrivel. It takes FAITH to reawaken the shriveled dream to come back to life for it to be stretched forth into reality.

Luke 6:6-11 tells of the story of a man with a shriveled arm. Jesus spoke these words, “Stretch out your hand” and the man’s arm was completely restored.

It took FAITH to believe the Words of Jesus and it took ACTION. I can only imagine there was pain that accompanied the effort by the man but he listened and heard the Words of Jesus and pressed through the pain.

When Jesus speaks to you through the written Word, listen, hear, apply and do by the power of the Holy Spirit and by faith see your shriveled dreams come back to life. Keep on dreaming and keep on trying. Never give up

What are You Wearing Today?

We are to put on each day the armor of God (Ephes 6:10).  Physically we would never walk out of our dwelling before dressing.  The same holds true spiritually, we need to dress ourselves daily by putting on the helmet of salvation to protect our mind from the lies and accusations of the enemy; put on the breastplate of righteousness to protect our heart from hurts and offenses from others, otherwise we will get hard hearted and walk in unforgiveness; wrap the belt of truth around our middle, the core of our being, and know who we are in Christ and what He has done for us; put on shoes that will carry us with the Gospel of peace; hold tightly to the shield of faith to deflect the fiery arrows of the enemy’s lies and schemes to defeat our dreams, passions and destiny. And lastly, we need to pick up daily the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God and wield it with wisdom and grace.  The sword is our offensive weapon and how we speak the Word will be an offensive blow of life or death.  Words are powerful.  The Word of God is active and alive, sharper than a two edged sword, able to divide bone and marrow, and judges the intentions of the heart, Hebrews 4:12.  Speak God’s Word with kindness, compassion, affirmation and truth.  Dress for the day both physically and spiritually.

Knowledge is Freedom

Have you ever thought what it would be like to be illiterate? Can you fathom the fact that education is not offered to girls and women in some parts of the world? Pakistan is one of the most illiterate countries of Asia for girls and women where 2/3’s of females are illiterate. In fact, there are some areas where education of girls is prohibited on religious grounds.

What can you do to help a girl or woman in Pakistan get into an education literacy program? Mighty Women of Vision is partnering with Grace Church in Pakistan to start the change. Reading and speaking go hand in hand so Toast the King will be implemented along with the program. Our funds will go toward books, supplies and opening centers in villages.

To personally get involved, please go to mightywomenofvision.com and donate. Your donations are tax deductible. Please ear tag for Pakistan literacy program.11205510_810199732403083_5317019940174734406_n Pakistan

What is your Choice of Addiction?

We are created beings. God created our minds to be addictive. Every human being is addicted to something. God always gives us a choice . . . we can be addicted to Him or addicted to a false substance to achieve peace and love. One leads to life and one leads to death. Do you choose life?

Isaiah 61:1(b) tells us that Jesus came to set us free, “He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness prisoners.”
