Have you attended a MWOV monthly Morning of Inspiration meeting yet? With so many new MWOV and website followers it is appropriate to give everyone a snippet of what the meetings look like. In so doing, think of this as just the structure of the house but not the life inside of it–because the meetings are more than the following!
Morning of Inspirations are at 9 AM every third Saturday of the month out at the House of Vision, at Elizabeth Thompson’s place located at 91154 River Road, just three miles north of the Beltline on the left before Thistledown Farms.
First off we have some informal time to drink coffee, munch on some snacks, and talk to old and new friends. Friendships are definitely developed at these meetings.
Then we have a time to worship God. We always have a sweet time honoring God in worship. Usually this time is followed with a prayer time and then guest speakers are introduced.
The guest speakers are usually women (but not exclusively) who work with ministries that specifically minister to women and children—of course spilling over onto men as well. They share what the ministry does to be Jesus to people. Ministries range from those to kids who have parents in prison, young moms, relief work internationally, local ministries which bring unity and cooperation to Christians, outreaches in our community, and the list goes on.
In hearing the heart and function of the ministry women have a new understanding of the ministry, the needs of the ministry are known, and as God leads, women can choose to engage with the ministry. As MWOV go out into the community they end up having opportunities to talk to other people about the ministry as well. MWOV gets to help expand the spotlighted ministry this way.
Announcements are made and discussed about upcoming events, classes, and opportunities. We usually finish up by 11 AM, if not before. Come and join us this Saturday!
